Kajang, Oct 14: Unlike many other functions in the Protasco calendar, the Majlis Berbuka Puasa remains a unique event as it gathers not only Muslims but also the non Muslim staff and guests for a sumptuous buka puasa treat.

While the Muslims performed their Maghrib prayers, the non Muslims waited patiently to savour the taste of sambal udang, daging hitam, sambal goreng jawa, asam pedas and ayam goreng.

It took place on 14th October at the Multi-Purpose Hall with as many as 900 Protasco staff and guests including KLIUC students. It was hosted by Executive Chairman of Protasco Berhad, YBhg Dato’ Ir. Hasnur Rabiain Ismail and his wife, YBhg Datin Kamisah Abd Samad.

YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hamid bin Othman, Chairman, Board of Governors of KLIUC and Y.Bhg. Puan Seri Jamilah Said were the guests of honour for the evening. Among the the VIPS who attended were Protasco Berhad’s Managing Director, YBhg. Dato’ Ir. Chong Ket Pen and his wife, YBhg. Datin Hoo Chit Neo, Director of PTSB, YBhg Datin Doris Yap, Chairman of Kumpulan Ikram, YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Othman bin Mohd Rijal and his wife YBhg Puan Sri Datin Rohani Harun.

After enjoying their meal and desserts, the Muslim staff and students proceeded to the mosque to perform Isyak and Tarawih prayers. YBhg Dato’ Ustaz Haji Nakhaie, President Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia gave a Tazkirah before they enjoyed the Moreh.
