Kajang, 21 October 2004: Ramadhan, the Muslim holy month has always united its followers in a period of fasting and spiritual reflection amid a strong family and community bond.

About 1,000 Protasco Berhad staff and Kuala Lumpur Infrastructure University College (KLIUC) students enhanced their unity when they gathered for a sumptuous buka puasa treat before performing their prayers at Ikram Park here this evening.

The treat was hosted by the management with Executive Chairman, Dato’ Ir. Hj. Hasnur Rabiain Ismail, Datin Kamisah Abd Samad, Managing Director, Dato’ Ir. Chong, Ket Pen, Datin Hoo Chit Neo and Datin Doris Yap as the guests of honour.

The aroma of Nasi Beriyani and Rendang whetted the appetite as guests waited for the azan for breaking of the fast. True to Protasco’s multi-religious tradition.The great moment was also shared with other non-Muslim staff and students.

After enjoying their meals and deserts, the Muslim students and staff proceeded to the Surau to perform Maghrib, Isyak and Tarawih prayers.
