Kajang, 15 July 2008 – The Minister of Higher Education Malaysia, YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Bin Nordin visited Kuala Lumpur Infrastructure University College (KLIUC) campus in Kajang today.
He received a warm welcome from the host, Y.Bhg Tan Sri Dato’ Abdul Hamid Bin Othman, Chairman, Board of Governers of KLIYC, Y.Bhg Dato’ Hasnur Rabiaian Bin Ismail, Executive Chairman, Protasco Berhad; Y.Bhg Dato’ Ir Chong Ket Pen, Managing Director, Kumpulan Ikram Sdn Bhd, Y.Bhg Prof. Dato ‘ Wira Ir. Dr. Mohammad Noor Bin Hj Salleh, President of KLIUC, Tuan Haji Badaruddin Bin Alang Ishak, Director Ikram Education Sdn Bhd.
Over 400 students, lecturers, administrative staff and invited guests gathered in the Multipurpose Hall to welcome the Minister. In his speech, the president of KLIUC, Y.Bhg Prof. Dato’ Wira Ir. Dr. Mohammad Noor Bin Hj Salleh has expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Minister.
“Today, KLIUC was honoured by the presence of the Minister of Higher Education Malaysia, YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Bin Nordin to our campus. We hope that with the strong support and guidance from him and his ministry, KLIUC would be able to become a world renowned Infrastructure University in the near future”, said the President.
During the visit, YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin presented credential certificate to the successful recipients of Protasco Berhad Education Fund. Furthermore, he witnessed the signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between KLIUC and the government of the Republic of Yemen and Rezzen Sdn Bhd.
This is the second time he attended KLIUC’s event. The first being the launching of the International Conference on Infrastructure Development (InCID 2008) held at teh Marriott Hotel, Putrjaya in May 2008.
