KLIUC 6th Convocation

A total of 287 graduates receive their scrolls today after years of hard work and determination to become educated citizens. Proud parents and friends gather on the unforgettable day to witness their loved ones harvest their success. The event started with the entrance of the graduates to the multipurpose hall followed by the academicians, deans of schools and finally the grand procession of KLIUC Board of Governors, YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Hj. Abd. Hamid b. Othman, Chairman of Board of Governors; YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Wira Ir. Dr. Mohammad Noor b. Hj. Salleh, President of KLIUC; YBhg. Dato’ Ir. Chong Ket Pen, Managing Director of Ikram Group Sdn. Bhd.; YBhg. Tuan Hj. Baharudin b. Alang Ishak, Director of Ikram Education Sdn. Bhd.; YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Wan Hashim b. Wan Teh, member of the Board of Governors; the Registrar, Mr. G. Irshad b. G. Hussain and representatives from other higher learning institutions such as Insaniah University College, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UNIMEP) and Asia e University College (AeC).

As other years, KLIUC recognised well performed students who excel in their studies and curricular activities outstandingly. This year, KLIUC celebrates their top achievers by granting them a fee waiver of RM5000 for Degree programme and RM3000 for Diploma programme. From the School of Engineering and Technology Infrastructure is Ting Huong Siong who obtained his Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) with a total point of CGPA 3.934 and Ng Chee Ek who undertake Diploma in Automative Engineering with CGPA 3.903. Norsabrina bt. Hasnul, Alnovendra b. Tamzil,Thiah Siew Ling and Norlizawati bt. Abd. Rasep made their School of Business Infrastructure proud when they became the representative for top achievers with total CGPA of 3.828, 3.429, 3.902 and 3.753. The School of Information Technology Infrastructure top achiever is S.M. Ariffuzzaman who graduated in Diploma in Information Technology with CGPA of 3.917. Nor Helina bt. Mohd. Noor, KLIUC’s valedictorian and also top achiever from the School of Linguistic Infrastructure and Liberal Studies with total CGPA of 3.944 delivered her moving speech on behalf of the graduates.

The event also enlivened by the choir group which sang the ‘Sinaran’ song popularized by Sheila Majid.
