The KISB Core Values Campaign (CVC) 2008 was a three-month activity (July – September), with the finale (Ikram Challenge) happening in October.

The campaign was designed to emphasize the three main core values, hence the three-month long period. Throughout the campaign, all employees were encouraged to put on button badges of the various KISB core values, as well as to participate in the various activities and talks. The CVC Committee members were also put on-guard to ask random questions on the company’s main core values at unsuspecting staff to keep them on their toes.

Every week, there were also refresher courses on the various core value topics throughout the campaign for the employees with talks by invited professional speakers as well as KISB’s very own presenters. The There were also contests for each talk, with questions based on the topic-of-the-week.

Inline with the CVC campaign, there were also other various activities such as donation drive for needy KISB staff as well as the blood donation drive. They were carried out during the campaign period to encourage quality, sharing and caring.

All the values were then tested and put in use during the highlight of the campaign when 12 teams from  the four business clusters of KISB (i.e. B, E, S & T) ‘challenged’ each other to emerge the best team from the Ikram Challenge activity, held on the 18th of October, 2008.

Ikram Challenge is a game similar to the popular television show ‘Amazing Race’. It as an ultimate platform for the contestants to practice the values they have been imparted upon throughout the campaign. Marks as well as bonuses given were based on the KISB core values that the team portrayed in their efforts to complete each hurdle.

Despite the conclusion of the CVC in October, let us all continue to practice the KISB Core Values in our everyday lives, as they are the basic elements of how we go about our work.  They are the practices we should be using every day in everything we do.
